McMoron - Re: " Word is that AMD has really cranked up production of the K6-2. So much so that the K6-2 will replace the K6."

This is reflected in the wild run-up of AMD's shares lately - and the Lehman estimate for INCREASED losses.

Maybe you should ask Jerry to cut back the K6-2 production - since it seems to be resulting in widening losses.

McMoron,
Re -- since ASAP they will just switch over to the K6-2. Like changing a coat.

Yup, only problem is the K6-2 will cost more to produce and will have to be sold at K6 prices for compaq to use it.

Result: More widening losses. Brilliant business model only concievable by the one and only Jerry.

But of course no one really cares about AMD's losses anymore, because its taken for granted they will continually have them, until the money runs out (and then maybe they'll borrow some more)
