Chris, thank you for responding so quickly, if we use your example of IBM 6/16/98. You have a primary point identified in March one can draw a regression channel through to April.
May the prices come to the lower line of the channel and then continue in the bull trend.
What would you suggest one should use as an indicator to confirm that the trend is still in place.
The price finally fails the channel in June.
I've heard one person suggest I use the candlestick chart to see if I can identify reversal or continuation patterns.
Any ideas?

By the way you have a great web page. If you still have copies of your manual that you are publishing on the net I would be interested.
