JJC's May GQ 'Killer Stock' article - Another example now in play Hello to everyone. A big thanks to James for your strong desire to help the little guy. I know that I'm getting great value for my $US6.95 pm at thestreet.com - thanks. I appreciate your advice on how we can also become successful investor's - by acquiring the skill sets that takes us away from the tyranny of dufus fund managers and 'Have I got a deal for you - but I just want to sell some stock that my brokerage has purchased - get my commission - and if it tanks in six months - then oh well - that's the market for you' brokers. I've read a number of posts to this thread - and what is it with many of you folks here? JJC is one of the guys who can help me make serious money - that's where it begins and ends. This is part of what JJC said in the May GQ article [ GQ, May 1998, pp.155-156 - hey - I'll go anywhere for information that will help me make $$ - I don't think this article was repeated at thestreet ]: "Before I got to Goldman Sachs in the `80s, I thought this notion was a fanciful treasure search, a snipe hunt. But a few weeks into the job, I was hearing tales about the trader who retired to Ketchum, Idaho, while riding the Charter warrants, a security that went from one to one hundreds in less than a year. Or the broker who hitched a ride on Digital Switch Corporation for 120 points before deciding he didn't need to work anymore. True tales from the trading desk!" ** If you're not interested in 'Killer Stocks' then don't bother to read anymore of this post ** I'm not here to hype this stock - I'm just here to post information that's relevant JJC's `Killer Stock' article - another real life `killer stock' example that is starting to fire up. For most of you here - this is stock will be new. Here's my story: The next Canadian Killer Stock will be Napier International Technology Inc. It trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol - NIR [ use NIR.T on BigCharts ]. Napier has been until now primarily an R&D company - now that it's hit pay dirt - they are moving more into a manufacturing mode.napierintl.com [ new web site - under construction ] Napier has developed a revolutionary - benign - environmentally friendly - surface stripping solutions - that are marketed under the SV-35 product line. Napier is acquiring Aquasol International who have independently developed another revolutionary product - an environmentally friendly and benign surface cleaning solution marketed as Aquasol Solution. Here's what Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI.NYSE) has to say (from April 21 news): Ron Graham, contracted to I.C.I. as an Industrial Maintenance Coating Specialist, states that "The amalgamation of Napier's SV-35 environmentally friendly chemical strippers, the environmentally advantaged Aquasol cleansing solution and I.C.I.'s expertise in coatings and marketing will be the most significant event for the refurbishing industry in recent history." Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI.NYSE) is based in the UK and is the world's largest chemical company. They manufacture in 50+ countries and have marketing arms in 160+ countries. Napier will be the next Ballard Power Systems [ BLD.TSE ] - a Canadian penny stock that rose to over $150 before a recent 3 for 1 split. Have you seen Ford's reference's to Ballard's fuel cells in their recent television advertisements? Ford are also talking with Napier and Aquasol. NIR has risen form $0.08 last year (still in R&D mode) and following major News releases on 15 and 21 April rose rapidly to $4.88 before finding a solid range of support at $2+. The next News announcement - expected any time now - will announce major linkages to big-time partners and will push this stock much much higher. The institutions have also requested that the News contain fundamentals - and that they'll start to buy in at $5+. They have said that they don't want 'just another News release'. On Friday there was a major surge in volume - something is up - which I suspect reflects anticipation of the next major News announcement - the cat is out of the bag I guess. Some tid bits. Napier is in talks (at various stages of development) with the following: Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI.NYSE). Selling Aquasol's surface cleaning solution under license as Hydrosol 700 (will sell the SV-35 products line under license as Hydrostrip 500):ici.com CCL Industries - one of the world's largest contract chemical packagers (parent of K-G Packaging). The retail market is expected to be Napier's big cash cow.cclind.com Amoco Corporation - testing products to clean the inside of their storage tanks and lines:amoco.com Ford Motor Company - testing products which most likely will be used in cleaning surfaces prior to painting:ford.com Textron Inc (parent of Cessna Aircraft) - using solutions in dip tanks to clean surfaces.textron.com The SV-35 products also conform to Boeing's and McDonnell Douglas's requirements. The airlines are expected to be major customers. The US Navy is also testing.
