but the was no order imbalance and the stock opened at the bell.

If AOL received serious offer it would be obliged to file public
notice of it; and it is not Case/Pittman's perogative to unilaterally
turn it down as FT reported. FT said offer was made a few weeks ago.
If there was serious offer an 8K should have been filed within a week at latest.

XCIT filed 8K pronto re. Zapata's 'offer' despite that ZAP never
even made one directly to XCIT.
