Vlad:

I am a former VVUS long who took large losses (1/2 were tax losses taken at 12 1/2 last December, about my only good decision on Vivus).

Despite the almost irresistible current sale price, I am not going back in until I see a turnaround in scripts. Not even stability will do. Long-term stability at current script levels would, IMO, mean the company and stock are headed to zero. I thought they would have turned around by now, since just about any Muse user who wanted to try Viagra must have done so weeks ago.

I don't think appeals to Astra will help. They have no more reason to care about individual VVUS shareholders than does VVUS itself.

I am still a VVUS bull, in my heart of hearts, but my head is telling me there just is not enough reliable information out there about the company's prospects. I am also concerned about the stock being one point away from non-marginability.

I will keep on watching. I would love to see a big run-up, even if I miss it, as my best friend still is long.
