I know I've done similar things to recover but I do it so infrequently I usually forget the details and the logic flow at startup..

I noticed that my MS irl indexes are not being updated..Even when you go to 'output to metastock' and click output irl indexes..It goes thru the motions but doesn't update file..Still at 6/12..have not tried deleting the directory and start from scratch..Also during the update of the ms files it hung a few times and I had to reboot..Starting to get annoyed<G>. BTW I do have update daily specifed for the indexes..The index data can be viewed by QP2 chart program..

is there a method to get volume on the indexes?

for example on the !spx, i have don't have a volume figure

on !DJ30 i have volume on 4/2/98 and 4/3/98, but on no other dates.
