Once you already have an MS compatible directory of stocks (not Virtual, but MS compatible), you update it by going to Update Existing Directories in the QP to Metastock program, not to Output a List of Symbols. I may have misunderstood your note, but I hope this helps. You can automatically update it each night by going to Define Automatically Updated Directories. Brooke

I noticed that my MS irl indexes are not being updated. The IRL indexes are calculated once a week and available for download usually Saturday afternoon. Internet users get daily index numbers once a week, while BBS users get a weekly version of the indexes every week. If you want them on a daily basis, you have to use the IRL software to calculate them. Gary
