I can no longer hold my tongue. I have only one issue with PNLK at this time.

Do they have available and are they spending the money now necessary to make this site what it surely can be. We talk about Glenn but let's get to the point. The uncertainty that surrounds PNLK does not center around the concept. I believe everyone agrees it it is a tremendous idea. It boils down to money. The guy that should be making this happen is J. Collardeau.

The bleeding could be stopped. A statement from Collardeau himself stating that he will provide the financing to bring the site to where it should be conceptually would do it. Horsepower, cash, financing. The company generates no revenue until it delivers the product. It has been called into question more than once as to whether PNLK has the financial resources to accomplish this. I believe this is the majority of the skepticism today centers around that one issue.

I OFFER THIS AS A CHALLENGE TO PKLK. We are your shareholders. You have an obligation to us as well as your customers. The site can be made functional and useful. I know this. Will the resources necessary be used to make it happen. It may already be the mind set of management that they will. Share this with us. I notice an intense desire for JC to stay out of the limelight. Once in a while it pays big dividends to step in and show some leadership....builds morale and confidence among the masses.

I climbed to the top of the tree and looked out over the horizon. Don't chop my tree down.

I did a very general search on
commercial lighting. My response gave
me 225 records in North America.

I paged through these items 15 at a time.

I chose this broad topic because I knew that
many, if not most, of these companies have web pages.

The search results gave me many of the names
I was already familiar with. The search result
also gave me web (home) page links to which I could refer to
gain familiarity with the product if I didn't know
about it.

The hyperlink (the name) also gave me these home pages.

Rather than recreating information available on a company's
homepage, a link to a home page is more valuable to me and I feel
is a more efficient use of resources. Why redundantly recreate
reference information?

However, what makes PNL's site less useful right now
is that many home pages, that I know exist, are not yet
included in the database. This was the case concerning many
of the companies in my particular search.

So my question to Proxicom is when are they going
to get more of these links to home pages into the database?


Once PNL's gets these link, its search engine will function
like any other search engines i.e.. it will narrow your topic so you
will have the links to supplier's web (home) page.

This type of engine implies that business will have home pages.
Considering that businesses are already recognizing the Internet
as both a marketing and growing commerce tool this isn't much of
a reach.

In my example of "commercial lighting", very few of these manufacturers had home pages three or four years ago. Now they all have home pages.

PNL, thus isn't working in vacuum. The value of its service
will increase as business increasingly recognizes the value of
getting "online". Certain industries and companies regionally and globally haven't yet made this realization . And thus, for those people in those industries, the value of PNL's services will be of limited value. However, companies in industries that have embraced the "net" will also embrace the net as they see other competing businesses growing because those businesses utilized the Internet for commerce and marketing.

Again, as I've noted before, PNL isn't revolutionary by itself, PNL is part of a revolution. The strength of PNL's concept is that it is ahead of the curve rather than behind it.

I am another lurker who finally come abroad to share an opinion after seeing all the tug-of-war going on between the Pro and Con. What amazed me is that the people who questioned the validity of the ProNetLink concept will continue to come back and spend time to argue or defend themselves regarding their OPINIONS. IF I don't like a company product or concept, I will simply sell my shares and move on to look for another company to invest in. We all know how much time it takes to research and find another company we can believe in before we invest. But to keep coming back to this thread and question, bash, or harp about the company you don't like, why?

Someone has raised a point about the database in the ProNetLink not being detail enough to be of any use and proceed to discredit the whole concept of ProNetLink because of it. While such comment has its valid argument; it is unfair to put all the weight on it without looking at where PreNetLink is HEADING!

Here is my opinion regarding the issue of database. The 2.7 million companies in the database may have been compiled at the time when Internet commerce doesn't even existed yet. Therefore, detailed information related to each company may not be included for the purpose of an electronic database search. SIC is used because that was the standard search of the OLD way. Remember those thick index books we need to browse over just to find what we need?

In my opinion, for a company in an export/import business who need to generate business or expand contacts, the database of ProNetLink, limited as it may be, is still an invaluable tool to use, especially when the company is not in the USA. Let say I did a search for wine as someone has suggested, and it gives me all the companies that deal with wine. If I am looking for white wine only, you know what I will do? Do you remember why you hire your administrative assistant? Either I or my administrative assistant will start drafting fax letter with request for more information from each of the company on the list. (And in the fax letter, I will also mention that I found their company name from a database search in ProNetLink. This may create interest in the company to update their list in the ProNetLink database.) Isn't this is what we were doing all along before the beginning of the computer revolution? Yes, you may argue "why pay for the database while it is available for free elsewhere?" Yes, but you will have to spend more time to accumulate the company list the old fashion way before you can even send out your fax letter. What ProNetLink has to offer is that it will make that part of research tool a breeze to a lot of company. Not to mention that the database in ProNetLink is constantly being updated in a dynamic way.

My key point is that if a company exists as an import/export business, it will do what it takes to drum up more business, and any tools that can help simplify that process is a plus. The Key word search change will definitely enhance the usefulness of the tool. The details information required by the searcher will come in time as our society move into the world of internet commerce.

Sorry for this long opinion. I am long on PNLK and is very optimistic about its future. As far as the stock price go, it reminds me of one of the famous investor used to say "buy at the maximum point of pessimism". The same emotional that drive this stock down will one day drive this stock right back up ... Again, my humble opinion only!

You ask a good question. Earlier today I had typed in a detailed response, looking at the balance sheet data and projecting expenses out into the future. Then my computer crashed and I lost it all.

The long and short of it is the company has:

Cash on hand: $335,314
A credit line of: $500,000
As of May 11th new Cash $150,000
(this does not appear
on May 7 Report)

Short Term Liabilities -$ 52,091
Long term Liabilities -$347,200
(payable over 5 years)

Basically 485K cash as of May 11. Plus line of credit.

The following are all my own estimates:

I estimate (not including marketing) the next 6 months of expenses will run about 300K (~ 100K to Proxicom for web site upgrades; 30K for web site hosting; 36K office rent; 54K short term note payment due; 30K for database/partner licensing renewal; 50K for fees and other misc. expenses).

This leaves 180K cash for marketing (plus line of credit plus any revenues generated from early subscribers).

Does anybody have any idea what 180K can buy as far as marketing/advertising? Direct mail, email, internet, are all planned.

Whatever approach they take, I think we need to get at least 10,000 subscribers within the first six months.
