Paul,

Do you actually put in stop buy orders? Many have of course
speculated that a market maker or well connected market player
can see these stop buy orders like ducks in a row and safely
bid the stock way up with a knowledge that there are ready buyers
above.

I do 10% stop losses pretty robotically, and the only case where
I didn't was aol, where i stopped at a 20% loss(and have been
kicking myself for my "conviction" ever since).


I guess discipline is the bane of trading. I am working on improving mine; but its easier said than done. Losing money (even via stop losses) is *always* painful...
