Chuzzlewit,

You seem to be very knowledgeable about biology and such, so I want to pose some thoughts to you from another source other than me.

"The famed double-helix DNA typically includes three billion rungs of a digital, error-correcting code. A digital (symbolic) code derives its significance from arbitrary, but consistent, definitions. A digital language requires context; conventions external to the code itself. An effective digital code demands careful, skillful design.

The genetic alphabet is a 3-out-of-4 design employing four nucleic acids: Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, and Cytosine for DNA (Uracil is substituted for Thymine in the RNA). These nucleic acids will be abbreviated as A, U, G, and C in the chart that follows. Sugar molecules (ribose or deoxyribose) bind the chemical alphabet; phosphate molecules bind the sugar molecules together to form the now famous double helix.

There are 20 amino acids that are assembled into the over 100,000 various functional proteins observed. The DNA/RNA code is shown in Figure 1 on the following page.

I will try to recreate the figure in the next post. I might not be able to get around to it tonight. So tell me what you think of this so far.

Chuzzlewit,
Genetic engineering is not evolution. Genetic engineering is just the manipulation of what has already been created. Men splicing genes or manipulating DNA in controlled conditions is not the same thing as a successful mutation. In order for evolution to even begin to be proved a successful mutation would have to be observed without the interference of man.

Goodbye evolution.

PS << The next time you receive an inocculation against the Asian flu just
think of Charles Darwin.>>

That has nothing to do with Darwin! What a lame statement. A vaccinne is nothing more than the dead virus injected into the blood giving the body time to manufacture an anti-body (template) for that particular virus. Once the body learns how to do the first template the body remembers and can make more at a fast enough rate to fight off the real disease. Sometimes live virus vaccines are used but it operates on the same principle. The reason the AIDS virus kills is because the body is unable to make a template for the virus but keeps trying until the immune system completely wears out and the person is then subject to catching anything and everything which is what kills them. The reason that the body cannot make a template for the AIDS virus is because it is an engineered desease, two seperate virus's spliced together. Each virus has a different "pattern", both together create an insoluable puzzle for the body. It makes a template for one pattern but when the pattern changes it cannot adjust.
