OK, CRAWFORD, you want to do a little mud slinging,
read on.

>>So if I complain about manipulation, postulate that modem sales
must surely be picking up, fantasize about COMS being bought out etc., COMS is going to magically rise?<<

CRAWFORD, you're an idiot, if you're inferring that's what I
meant. Save it for somebody else.

>>I suggest you give everyone on the thread a break<<

If anybody needs a break from somebody, it's from you.
Wherever you go you have this 'endearing' habit of making
everybody pissed off at you. I still haven't figured
out if it's your posting/investing strategy (given your
use of sentiment indicators) or if your
just a natural born *SSHL*. I suspect it's both and
would go as far as to say it probably a nasty habit
that runs strongly in the family.

>>My stance hasn't changed.<<

That's my point. Your mind's made up no matter what you hear.
Some form of brain lock, stubborness, pride, and conceit
to just scratch the surface.

>>Modem sales are still lethargic<<

No sh*t sherlock!! The question is will they pick up strongly
at some time in the future. I've stated my reasons why
I think they will, and am looking for clues to see if it will
come about.

Unlike you, I don't look at COMS from one day to the next.
I'm taking a long-term position -- I think your
familiar with this concept being that you own CIEN for the
very same reasons. I'm not looking for miracles this
quarter, but I'm looking for some progress. Turnaround
stories actually do happen CRAWFORD.

>>If COMS management doesn't anticipate a quick turnaround in their business I suggest they sell the company as quickly as possible for whatever they can get.<<

If worse comes to worse, sure, that's the next logical step
any investor would want. Personally, I don't think they've
reached that point and have a ways to go.

>>Asia is even worse off, and COMS is experiencing continued pricing
pressure.<<

How do you know? You have any facts to back this up with?
That's what's I call substantial evidence which I'm looking for.
I'm not looking for fairy tales, I'm looking for the raw
facts on this.

>>Sure, the channel is cleared somewhat, but at the expense of
sales.<<

That was last quarter. We're trying to see what the status
is this quarter.

>>practically everyone has given up on the stock. <<

Agree 100%.

>>Estimates continue to be hacked at on practically a daily basis<<

How convenient. You usually rail on ANALyst, telling us
how people getting paid MILLIONS of $$ can't do 1/10 the
job you could do for much less. But when it helps your
argument, you have no problems using their estimates.

>> Promises by COMS management continue to go unfulfilled.<<

Specifics needed, not trite generalities. That's what
your lacking. And not because you're not a smart chap,
or don't know the answer. It has something to do
with your *ssh*le attitude.

Let's face it Crawford, you've done about as much thinking
on this company in the last three months, as you'll be
doing sitting on can this morning. No need to. You know
all the answers all ready.

$35 huh? Maybe coms should stuff the channel first, and ask for $45 next quarter. <GG> We can help by buying extra modems, and return them in a month.
