>> That's my point. Your mind's made up no matter what you hear. <<

How obviously wrong that statement is. Why would I have went long if I was inflexible?

>> No sh*t sherlock!! The question is will they pick up strongly at some time in the future. <<

I don't come to this thread for questions, Sherlock. You have provided no answers.

>> I've stated my reasons why I think they will <<

I'm all ears, refresh my memory. Why are modem sales going to pick up?

>> Unlike you, I don't look at COMS from one day to the next. <<

Oh no, you only hang out on this thread all day. You post 500 word essays on why people don't belong on this thread if they aren't 100% as bullish as you are about COMS.

>> I'm taking a long-term position <<

So why do you go beserk when COMS moves a point or two each way?

>> I think your familiar with this concept being that you own CIEN for the very same reasons <<

Sold it.

>> I'm not looking for miracles this quarter, but I'm looking for some progress <<

You and everyone else.

>> Turnaround stories actually do happen CRAWFORD. <<

Really? Are you sure?

>> How do you know? <<

How do I know Asia has gotten worse? Do you not follow the Asian markets? Do you keep up with the news? Do you see what kinds of numbers companies exposed to Asia have been reporting?

>> You have any facts to back this up with? <<

Yes, but they are so obvious I won't bother. Look at the currencies and stock markets in Asia. Look at the economic conditions. Look at what companies have been reporting for Asian sales. Try spending less time on this thread and go read the newspaper or watch CNBC.

>> That's what's I call substantial evidence which I'm looking for. <<

Always asking for substance but never offering it. Why don't you show me some facts that point to COMS business rebounding. Not your opinion or hope, but actual facts.

>> That was last quarter. We're trying to see what the status is this quarter. <<

The channel problem was supposed to be cleared up last quarter, but there are still doubts. So what if it is cleared up, that doesn't mean they can start clogging it up again because there aren't enough orders to sell through.

>> How convenient. You usually rail on ANALyst, telling us how people getting paid MILLIONS of $$ can't do 1/10 the job you could do for much less. But when it helps your argument, you have no problems using their estimates. <<

Can't I agree with the direction of their estimates? Listen, my argument is simple. Estimates are getting hacked, which is a negative. Just because I don't think the analysts are bright enough to hack them as much as I would doesn't mean my argument isn't valid. If the analysts performed their job better they would hack them even more and COMS wouldn't have to miss the 17 cent estimate. Either way at least the analysts have got the direction of their revisions correct, and I agree with them on that front.

>> Specifics needed, not trite generalities <<

Fine. Specifics. Go back and read what COMS said in December when they warned. They made all sorts of promises about how soon the channel inventory would be corrected, which subsequently didn't come true. They made more promises a couple months later which still failed to come true.

>> That's what your lacking. And not because you're not a smart chap,
or don't know the answer. It has something to do with your *ssh*le attitude. <<

No, it has to do with the fact that I made hundreds of posts over the last several months stating my case. Every single thing I predicted came true, from stock price, to asian problems, to modem sales, to tricky accounting, etc. There is no need to repeat everything over and over like you tend to do everyday, as long as everyone agrees with me now.

<< Let's face it Crawford, you've done about as much thinking on this company in the last three months, as you'll be doing sitting on can this morning. No need to. You know all the answers all ready. >>

Precisely! That's the most accurate paragraph I have read from you in a long time. True, in the last few months I haven't paid much attention to COMS, I got SMART and tracked the internets instead of this lifeless company.

Furthermore, you are right. I do have all the answers and don't need to listen to your daily diatribes to arrive at a conclusion. I just enjoy sparring with you.
