Steve Snyder just returned my call. While he would not comment on IBM, and I listed Sequent, EMC, Sun, Compaq, Hewlet Packard, and Dell, as being lost to Brocade, (some via Mcdata and Storage Technology) his quote was that the fibre channel ocean floats a lot of boats. Other OEM possiblities he mentioned were Hitachi, Siemens, Unisys, among lesser known names.
Asked if they were laying off or hiring, he said there were some job openings in technical areas.
Asked about product development, he said they were using the Mark II as a modular design to scale up or down depending on the requirement of the customer.
Asked about earnings report, he said the last week in July.
He said the mood at Ancor is positive.
He apparently is getting lots of calls, and I encourage all to call with questions. I made it clear how difficult it is for the shareholders to get no information, and how critical it is to start selling product. I also made the point about cash flow allowing R&D and turning Brocade into the "gorilla". He said he understood the point.
FWIW ;(
