Steve, I pay for a service through a company called "Canada Stockwatch". Through that service I gain access to realtime quotes on whatever Canadian Market I happen to want to play....Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, or Alberta. There are fees to gain access to each of the exchanges of a couple of $$$ each per month. On top of the real-time access, I also have access to realtime depth. While I can see the size through depth, I can't see "who" is on the bid ask....except for on the Alberta exchange....different regulations for different exchanges. To have realtime quotes with depth on all the markets costs me about $110.00 Cdn/month. It is MUCH cheaper for U.S. residents and this is due to more than just the exchange rates. For some reason (and this really ticks me off), U.S. residents do not pay hardly any fees for the same access that I have. I haven't checked recently, but if my memory serves me right, U.S. residents pay a about $20.00 Cdn./month for the same access. (No, that figure is not a typo.) Anyway, as each trade goes through, I see which house bought and which house sold, all in real time. I can also do an instantaneous accounting of all the trades that have gone through, over whatever timeframe I want (minutes, hours, that day, days, weeks) by house to see who's in the market. I can also focus in on one house and just watch their buy/sells go through in a separate window. Hmmmmmm, what else. Oh, realtime news access on all cdn listed companies. Makes it easy to scan the releases that come out. Often some of the ones that come just prior to market opening provide a good opportunity to jump in before the market has really caught on. Also realtime intraday java based charting, using whatever indicators you might like....MA, RSI, MACD, Stochastics, volume. Also the ability to pull up in realtime the top 10,20,50,100 stocks on whichever market that are "moving" by either volume, %-, %+, abs+, and abs-. This is good to see "what's shakin'" in a real time sense. All in all, enough to keep me busy and for the most part quite happy. I'm at home, can call my own hours, and other than some days being quite boring in the markets, I like it. The only big draw back is the "human interaction" that I miss being at an office. Geeze, my wife says I'm almost turning into a conversationalist! I'll have to monitor that one closely. :) All for now. Feel free to ask any other questions. Regards. Kevin
