Ron,
Thanks for your information. I found it very informative.

Let me ask a question of the thread. I've been reading lately that China isn't so much worried about competing with Japan in exporting to the US, as it is with the bigger problem of exporting into Japan.

I read that 40% of China's exports go to Japan. I only saw this figure quoted one time so I don't know if it's accurate. I have also been reading that China and Japan do not have that many competing exports.

Does anyone know if these reports are accurate concerning China's true problems with a very weak yen?
Thanks,
MikeM(From Florida)

PS Ron this is a real brain teaser too! But if China holds the peg against the US$, while the yen gets weak against the US$, then it's the same thing as the yen getting weak against the yuan. Hence Japan imports less from China.

That and some other conditions have had me concerned.

Very good of you to share that.

Thanks much.
