And you seem to be totally lost here...

Ali,

Although you appear to be an unstable individual, I'll take a chance and respond to you anyway. I didn't invest in Intel because of my chip design expertise. I invested in Intel because of its chip design expertise. Intel has superb engineers and management with a proven track record of overcoming difficulties in the market place. Intel is not however in business to producing chips. It is in business to make money. Producing chips is a means to that end.

you need to grasp the difference between the
right to manufacture some chip (without essential
know-how of it's internal logic) and completely
self-contained design that has been proven to
work well in millions of systems.

The BIG difference today is that AMD and Cyrix DO NOT
COPY intel. They have their own modular design
of microprocessors to run x86 instructions for
Windows operating system. This let them proactively
change overall design and quickly add new
functionality like 3DNow instruction superset,
to drive new market demands and/or responding
to market turns.

Thank you for that distinction without a difference. As far as the consumer is concerned they appear to be copies. That is what is lowering Intel profits. That is what concerns me as an Intel investor.
