A couple of questions I'd like to ask the Montgomery analyst. 1. By increased competition does he mean that other vendors are actually cutting into 3dfx's market share, or he just sees a lot of hot spec sheets with no idea how well those specs will translate into sales. 2. If the market for Voodoo2 cards is getting 'saturated', what makes him think any of the competitors are going to be able to sell a lot of cards? Is everybody going to throw out the Voodoo2's they've bought? At least with the Voodoo2 you can always make a second sale to someone going SLI. Inquiring minds would like to know.
