My summary of the 113 minute conference call
(1) Micron is in a war with all other dram companies in the
world.
(2) Like in any war there is going to be winners and a losers.
(3) Per CC (conference call) MU is in 200 million burn rate per
quarter.
(4) MU is in default on $500 million bank credit, but banks have
waved default.
(5) MU's major weapon in this war is "lowest cost producer".
(6) MU was given $700 million cash from TXN payable at close
(SEP 30, 1998) to upgrade fabs.
(7) As with all down dram cycles, this one will end.
(8) Skeeter and bears feel MU will run out of money before
the war ends and therefore will be a loser.
Skeeter may be right
(9) But the MU bulls may also be right and MU may survive
long enough to become a winner.
DJ may be right
(10) Finally, anyone who has money invested in MU is totally
stupid, if they do not spend the small amount of money
and listen to the call.
(11) The number is 1-402-220-0101
