Jon, Thanx for the invite, as if I needed one.

First things, first. Taichi. It was "in like flint". Probably an old saying, even though, I'm not that old. It means "solidly entrenched" as in "hard as rock". IMO, flint's claim to fame is the Zippo lighter.

This RCR article should clear up all the VLSI confusion. A must read.

On first blush, Dot Wireless looked like bad news. More competition, deserting troops and coming to my attention right around the time of that little NextWave annoyance, sure seemed peculiar. Anyway, after a little thought and all those VLSI posts, it now looks like Mr. Kornfeld et all are just what the Dr. ordered. They should fill a few cracks in the dyke and become another flinty stone in the Great Wall of CDMA[TM].
