<< PC Labs reviews new K6:>>

One of the lamest article I read. What is the point of writing the article if they just show Winstone benchmark ? Where are all those 3D game benchmarking that Intel touted to blow away the K6?

RE:" PC LABS review
"AMD will improve clock speeds on the K6-2 in the
coming year, with planned speeds reaching 350MHz
and 400MHz. However, it's doubtful that AMD's
processors will net as big a jump in performance as
Intel's Pentium II did when its speed increased
beyond 333MHz.

This is because the 333MHz Pentium II had a core
bus speed of 66MHz, and that core bus speed
increased to 100MHz with the 350MHz and 400MHz
Pentium II chips. In contrast, the K6-2/333 already
has a core bus speed of 100MHz."

Hummm.
What did Intel gain going to 100MHz bus? 1%?
