Scotsman,

There will be a replacement for the 1.4 floppy disk eventually and zip media is too expensive to be it. The superdisk has been around for a while and has not made significant oem sales despite compatibility with 1.4 disks. The market seems to have already made the decision here (the drives are somewhat slow). Sony and at least one other company are currently releasing similar products that can also handle the 1.4 disks and are much faster. I think a combination of decent speed, cheap drive, cheap media and compatibility would be the perfect product. IMO, I wouldn't invest in any company that did not offer all four.

BTW It looks like Iomega is moving towards the final stages of meltdown as a hyped company. They can't figure out how to make money despite good revenue and they don't really have any major product besides the zip despite best efforts.
