Intel i740 being dumped in SEA

I read recently how this chip is being dumped all
over SEA for less than $12 per chip in order to
undermine competitors. If the DOJ is riding Intels'
case about other anti-trust practices, I think it's
about time TDFX opened it's mouth about the i740.
We all know it's a piece of crap, but if you can
market a motherboard with a 3D graphics chip solution
with Intel's name on it this cheap, then many OEM's
won't care much, and many consumers will leave it be.

Mongomery's comment that Diamond is reducing it's
orders for TDFX chips may have more to do with others
coming into their market who are also buying V2 chips,
then fewer V2 chips overall being sold. This they
convienantly neglect to mention...

Boot Mag, @ Bootnet.com, reviewed the i740 v Voodoo in one of their latest issues. I think they were both about equal in ratings. I'll try and find the article and let you know.
