Kramer: This news is very encouraging. Thanks. Just thinking aloud: It should be possible to obtain a preliminary approval from EU of the framework under which MCIC should complete the divestiture of its internet properties. With the recommendation of the EU committee ( may be by tomorrow), the EU panel will give its final approval to the merger by July 15,98. Next DOJ hurdle: MCI will have to identify a buyer and demonstrate to the satisfaction of DOJ who will oversee the divestiture that the details of the merger framework are met before DOJ can give its final approval. Assuming this is all done in July, the MCI/WCOM merger should complete by the first half of August 98. I like this WCOM thread. It is very professional with prompt dissemination of news items and very knowledgeable discussions - no flaming each other. Thanks Kind rgds ANANT
