from www.stockwinners.com Check Point Software (CHKPF) develops, markets and supports enterprise security software products for the Internet. In late April, rumors hit the Street that Microsoft will compete with this Israeli company. Stock plunged on the news. Later Microsoft indicated that it has no desire to do so. Since that time, rumors have circulated that CHKPF is looking for a bigger company to help it in this very new but competeitve market. Cybercash (CYCH) is a mentioned suitor. No time frame is indicated on this rumor. Patient investors could be rewarded nicely. Stock last traded at $27 1/2. (6/19/98)
