The $3.6 million appears on the balance sheet as paid in capital, and is reflected in the accumulated deficit. I suppose you're aware that it costs money to start a business and develop a product. It could have been capitalized as Intellectual Property or the like, but that would have created a tax liability. Perhaps you should leave the accounting to Price Waterhouse.

ALYA's marketing strategy has been global from the start. The Slovakia deal reflects that orientation. Other contracts are in the works in North America. If those had happened to close first, you'd probably be expresing concern about how the German companies in the LonWorks Association were going to close ALYA out of the lucrative market of Europe, which has a larger GDP than the U.S.

World Vision is on a monthly retainer with ALYA. Their compensation does not include stock options or any tricks of any kind.
