The problem with "intent to sell" filings is that they are really open ended. It doesn't mean that he will sell, just that he has legally notified the SEC that he might. For insiders like him, it is a bureaucratic hurdle that must be jumped over.

If he were to actually sell that many shares all at once, I agree it would be a bad sign. On the other hand, selling 100,000 shares per quarter over 12 quarters would not necessarily indicate a problem, especially if he continues to accumulate more through options. (A pretty typical -- if somewhat sleazy -- play for big insider shareholders is to lock in the profits you have now, while taking no-cost options on potential future gains.)

Pancho, I just checked an Edgar Dell 14A filing. As of June he owned over 103M shares.

Selling 1M is like owning 10,000 shares and selling 100

Pancho, big meetings this weekend over in Japan. I don't see anything constructive coming out of these meetings. Maybe a small stimulus package. Sunday night numbers should be very interesting.

Pancho, take a look at ENMD. I was lucky to sell my June 35 puts last week when the stock was 25 1/4. It went as low as 23 3/4 last week and shot up to $ 35 yesterday on some stock/option manipulation. It closed at $ 30 today, I could see this one back to $ 23 or lower by month end.
