<<We are wrong today but will be right next week.>> IMHO, this is a concept stock. The market valuation is disconnected from fundamental analysis. I don't think anybody on this thread or I know when the valuation will return to one based on fundamentals. My five year old had a nightmare at 4:00 this morning. I couldn't get back to sleep. I remembered that I wanted to buy one of those little 3 cubic foot refrigerators for my office. Logged on to the net. Found one at Servicemerchandise.com $169, with free shipping. Bought it. This morning I wandered and found most major stores on the net: Toys R Us, Circuit City, Best Buy, Wal-Mart etc. I intend to systematically go through amazon.com and listen to hundreds of New Age music CD's--all the works of the artists I heard of but never really knew their work. If the cuts sound good, I'll go for it. Lots of pent-up demand. I would be happy to never set foot in a land-based store again. My wife is the same way. The issue here is how typical or atypical we are. I remember hearing that when women get angry or sad they tend to go shopping. And when men get angry or sad, they tend to start international wars. Most American women are too busy working and being moms to have the leisure time to go shopping in stores anymore. Buying options limits risk and enables participation in AMZN's volatility. As far as unhedged shorting, I think its too risky. I have serious doubts about anybody's ability to confidently predict the direction on this. I am letting my long position run because I am guessing that there will be a lot more people who will buy into this concept, if/when management splits the stock again. I just would ask the bears, how confident they are that they know where this beast is going? I am mindful of the risk I take by letting my long position ride. I am so far ahead that if I sell at half this price it will be one of my best investments ever. I've made plenty of other investment mistakes, so I am not pretending to be smart. Good luck to all, short & long, Tom D
