Are they making cars the size of cellphones these days???

Just might be a slightly different market.

That is what the auto manufactures are after. A low cost way to
directly inject gasoline into the combustion chamber. The benefits are
lower emmisions, more power and fuel economy since a more accurate
air-fuel mixture, (14.7:1) stoichiometric ratio (which exactly the right amount of air is present to burn the fuel) can be maintained.

Mitsubishi has some direct injection engines they will be using in
their own cars and selling to other Auto OEMs.
