John, e-mailed your thought to company and got this response from Tom Cooley:
"While what he says is true, I believe he misses the point in that right now over twice as much greenhouse gas is being emited without synfuels:
1. Total consumption of diesel does not change whether synfuels are used or not.
2. If synfuels are not generated the natural gas is flared or vented anyway.
3. Synfuels burn so nicely that unburned hydrocarbons and particulate matter in the exhaust do not occur as with conventional diesel greatly contributing to the smog in cities like Denver, Santiago, Bangkok, Mexico City, etc.
