Wiseowl, Please post whatever is on your mind about NSM. Talking about the technical apects of National's products provides a nice diversion in a time when the entire industry is sucking wind! Unless Japan takes some serious steps in the next few days, semicondutor industry fundamentals will not be a pleasant topic of discussion for at least a few quarters. What a change from five or six years ago, when everyone was touting the great Asian economic miracle and America's tecnology epitaph had been written. Did anyone correctly predict that Asia was a house of cards at that time? If such a pundit exists, I'd like to hear what he has to say now. Know of any such person?

Bob

Wiseowl,

As Bob said, all the technical stuff is a diversion. The real news as far as Cyrix side of NSM is that the South Portland fab will start producing .25u chips in July. A lot depends on successfull ramp-up of production here and on quality of NSMs process technology.

Another huge news will be whether NSM can get it's act together in LAN area.
