Mr. Cramer,

Thanks for being here and for thestreet.com. I've spent the last few newbie investor years learning some hard and expensive lessons. So your stuff is incredibly valuable to me. Keep it coming!

Dragonfly, be careful, this is a hate thread. You might find us agreeing on things and all uncivility would be lost!!!!

Yes, we must disagree, lest you start bursting thru my door and raiding my fridge, calling me Jerry, and telling me all about your latest get rich quick scheme involving trucking empty soda bottles across state lines!

Dragonfly, attempting a joke.

James Cramer, regardless of the thread's name, it seems to me that you only enjoy others being trashed, and dislike any opinion which is not flattering of you.

It is just "strange" that you failed to tone down the content of some of your admirers.

In a nutshell you just proved your view of civility and it is not at all flattering.

Haim

JC,

I might be making a stake on this "hate" thread, but I liked your opinion on IOM, definitely the right call. Seems like your opinion would follow onto Syquest as well (despite the insider buying). Any opinion on Touchstone Software, (they have a new internet improvement product called Netoptimizer, got beaten down on earnings news but I think it was overreaction, any opinion).

Double P.S. - Where did you go to school?

JJC, okay, here's my unbiased take on the subject of this thread.

When I got my TSC hat a few months ago from winning a contest on your site (first winner of the Heisman: Jesse Beranger, U. of Chi.) I thought - cool. We've got a nice hat going here. Good color balance in the shade of green for the cap (not too dark, not too bright) and the tan for the bill (which successfully pulls off the imitation suede appearance). Leather strap in the back, as opposed to the plastic snappies: A+. Quality embroidery in the logo (raised-stitch) not to mention what is a perfect choice of fonts and mix of uppercase/lowercase in the logo itself.

And the best thing is, the hat doesn't suffer from what we serious students of baseball cap design call "high hat" - which as everyone knows is the problem which occurs when there is an excess degree of airspace between the wearers hairline and the cap itself, a dead-giveaway for a poorly designed hat causing all wearers to appear, in the technical parlance, "dorky" (as an aside, there's an ongoing debate in the "community", if you will, over the precise way to quantify high hat -- the Chicago School theorists argue for an absolute measurement, while the work coming out of Berkley argues for a more relativistic approach based on head shape, as best laid out in what was the movement's manifesto, Slothrop and Haller's "Phrenological Arguments for a Post-Structuralist Ontology" published in the Journal of Caps, Hats and Visors). So, the fit is incredibly comfortable.

In summary, I am an unapologetic supporter of the James Cramer hat. It's a first class product that exudes quality and it's the best damn hat I have. It gets the job done in the areas that really matter - look cool, feel comfortable, hide bed head...

Wait a second...this isn't the James Cramer Hat Thread!!!!

How embarassing.
Please accept my apologies.

Two Geno's whiz wit' on me the next time you're back in your old stomping grounds <g>

Good trading,

Tom

jjc, I have written a few posts here supporting you. In the spirit of the thread though, I am pasting a note I had emailed to you after your appearance on CNBC after Dell reported. Also there was a story you wrote in thestreet talking about your lack of editorial control on thestreet.com (I can't complain about Dave K. an ex-St Paul, Mn guy who is ed. in chief) :-)

archive.thestreet.com

So I wrote the following to you that day. That was the weekend where you wrote you had computer problems or something, and could not download your mail, and by the time you did, there were too many to get to. Which I totally understand. In fact I'm amazed by the fact you respond as much as you do. Anyway, the heart of it gets to the impression I had that your appearance on that Squawk Box was in fact a cheerleading effort on behalf of your position in Dell.

Right on Jim. I always believed that (the above linked article), though on the chat boards there are many who don't. I always thought you were too smart to make a few bucks cheating, when there are obviously so many possibilities in front of you. Not to mention personal ethics, which I believe you have.

That being said, I did think your last appearance on CNBC after the Dell report, where you blamed the shorts for taking Dell down afterhours, was cheerleading on your part. The report, while wonderful, wasn't enough to offset the run from 110(pre-split) to 190 in the 3 months following the last report, and I think in your heart you knew that as well.....

Hmmm well looking at it now it doesn't seem quite as hard-hitting as I recalled when I sent it out :-). But the point was, you (jjc) have a gut feeling about these things, and I can't imagine your's that day was after that report and previous runup, that Dell could be going much higher soon (next month or so). Instead you came on the show, and whipped out the standby of shorts taking it down afterhours, to frighten out the weak hands (which obviously does happen often), but it clearly wasn't the case that day. Comments?
