RE: Why do you keep beating this dead horse? There is nothing in this article that suggests that CPQ takes back obsolete merchandise.

You stated in an earlier post that CPQ did not take back good merchandise.

Wrong! The CRN article states that CPQ has discontinued the practice. This means that they did practice good merchandise stock swaps.

Read it for yourself:

"Compaq has however, discontinued stock balancing that allowed resellers to swap slow moving products for more current models."

(Read "slow moving" as probably "obsolete" or "near obsolete.")

Dealers will still be able to return both DOAs and some non-DOAs.

Read it for yourself.

"Compaq will also tighten up its returns policies, but resellers will still be permitted to return a "flat percentage" of DOAs and open box systems, although the exact percentage won't be determined until early next month, he said."

Now you are saying they took it back but moved it to someone else.
So apparently you knew that they took the stock back. Trying to sell it through some other dealer would be understandable.

Sorry, Dog but the horse is not dead yet.........
