Ebay is private. There was a period when they routed their server through the Cayman Islands I believe, but I think that has changed back. It is basically the best Bulletin Board type service out there (more volume than www.haggleonline.com). Quite often you'll see item auction off at cost by retailers, just so they can attract buyer to follow the links to their sites. But then you also see folks pay more than what it is currently retailing for at www.pricewatch.com or www.pctoday.com/launchpad.html salamander.ebay.com
