<<<"Verily I say unto thee today thou shalt be with me in Paradise."

Since Jesus was not resurrected until the 3rd day, this puts the thief there 3 days early. Try it this way: >>>

After Jesus was resurrected on the third day He said He was going to ascend to his Father. This means he was going to heaven. He had already visited paradise before being resurrected. The thief, having died before Jesus, was sent to paradise, and no doubt was spreading the message of what was transpiring. What greater forerunner, a sinner saved by grace at the last moment. Paradise is different from heaven. Jesus told the people that he had been sent from heaven to die on the cross for the sins of man. He never said he was sent from paradise.

<<Just show ONE verse that speaks of an immortal soul! >>

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Matt 25:46

Everlasting life or punishment can only be pronounced upon something which is capable of supporting the sentence.
