In my opinion, it is not a good idea to release a pick prior to an open for one reason. Alot of buying pressure at once prior to an open can cause an articfical gap that may not be able to be sustained. The MM will just run it up, let all the market orders in and bring it right back down, who needs that. I think that a pick should be released while the market is open. Yes, it still can run up with market orders but is less likely to cause people to lose money in my opinion.
