My specs for ADSL lite call for 384Kbps in both directions..

And Rudedog, PLEASE:

Kbps = Kilo Bits Per Second (note the small 'b') this is what you use for communication products usually.

KBPS = Kilo Bytes Per Second (not the capital 'b' denoting BYTES). This is the same as Kbps/8. Therefore ADSL (normal) is 1.5Mbps NOT 1.5MBPS which is 12Mbps a second. I know what you mean, but some people might not get it.

Thanks for the cable info. So it looks like cable may need much more work if we are going to get video on demand, instant video news clips etc. And even ADSL might be a little slow. Oh well, it will be a heck of a lot better than what we have now.
