Gary, why do you say that maintaining a 10000 stock database in Metastock with virtual will be difficult? I set up a tickers virtual file, and it seems to work fine with both Metastock and GET. In fact, one of the scans that you included in the software was a scan to output all of the symbols in Quotes Plus to a virtual file. Are you having second thoughts on this functionality? Gary Lyben: I'm having a problem with the QP2 data disk. I installed the program disk correctly and created a diskbuf per your manual. When I insert the data CD ROM the program tries to read from my 3.5 inch drive instead of the CD ROM drive. I can read the files on the CD drive with explorer so I know the drive works OK. I called your tech support monday at 9:30AM and requested an email solution. I did not receive it. I've been into this problem 4 days now and would like a solution. Unfortunately, QP does not have Advanced Get proprietary indicators which would allow scanning (PTI, Oscillator pullbacks, XTL, Elliot Wave counts, etc). Perhaps in the future QP would like to partner with Trading Techniques to include these indicators in a special version of QP for Advanced get users (well, I can fantasize can't I?). Thanks for your message - in this case QP Virtual MetaStock is not helpful at this time. The rest of the program is great and I'm glad I upgraded.
