Steve, what's your view on trailing stops?

For a friend, bought 800 DIS today at 105 1/2 using the 15 min sto.
Worked very nicely again. Let it ride with tight trailing stops. Just curious what the Dudes feel about using the trailing stops. Seems to me it resolves the issue of when to exit (i.e., let the market tell you).
