Thread:
What is Cisco doing as far as R&D goes to embrace the future, optical-based networks? Does their current product line support this new technology? If not (or even if it does), who are some possible acquisition targets for new, optical based technology?? Tks.....

Stockman -- Yeah whatever. I'm not posting to threads and saying things like "Bay's engineers are IDIOTS (using your posting technique here), Bay stockholders are STUPID, blah, blah.

No, I'm not a Cisco engineer. Cisco shareholders seem to be making plenty of money (see latest stock quote.) You've got to go back to insulting companies, their stocks/shareholders that actually aren't doing well (like you do with AMD .... what a stretch). It took me five seconds to click on your post name and look at your most recent posts. So basically, you post here because you think it's cool to rile people up, and you obviously do not like Cisco (having a personal dislike for a company is pretty strange, unless of course you work for a competitor.) You also post messages on the AMD board like "Hey McMoron -- AMD's stock is heading towards single digits! Whassup???!" It's like reading messages on a junior high school bathroom wall.

Proclaiming Cisco's doom and the worthlessness of its stock just doesn't fly too well, given the company's and stock's performance. Don't you think the Street knows Cisco's margins will fall and growth will slow in the near term? Everyone is well aware of your tired and boring arguments as to why Cisco is going to flop. Most everyone also believes that the company has the talent, the market position, the technology, the marketing, the sales, etc, etc., etc., to execute and hit the next big wave ... V/V/D integration. So you don't agree with that view because Chambers is a "salesman", the engineers are "idiots", IOS has bugs, blah, blah, blah. You are in the extreme minority, everyone on this thread has seen your arguments ad nauseum.
