Right now it is very expensive and other Memory makers are developing alternate designs such as MICRON's SLDRAM. RMBS memory is for 100's of mhz to gigahz speeds. No current processors are able to handle it and the Merced and later INTEL chips are a few years away from the PC market.

INTEL wants to make sure it gets developed and cheap, that is one reason why I believe they are dumping big bucks into LG Semicon.
