"3Com 4Q Earnings To Come Out After Market Wednesday"

PALO ALTO, Calif., (Dow Jones)--3Com Corp. (COMS) said it will
release fourth-quarter earnings after market close on Wednesday.

Worries had spread in the financial markets Monday from investors
wondering why a date hadn't been set. 3Com had said previously only that
the earnings would be released the week of June 22.

joe--- HK and China probably will hold tight now that the US is assisting and leading Japan out of their mess. The region still looks for Japan to keep them all afloat. Not just the mkt is wary of earnings. Off shore investors as well. Techs are more up front as they are expected to continue to perform miracles forever. Asia has kicked some and they will be back. I agree the mkt especially techs have been in turmoil but COMS has been in the toilet, much more so han it deserves. Interest rates have NOT had the desired and expected effect the past 2 - 3 weeks which is also keeping some on the side lines as they cannot determine what to do with cash. Even RIETs which USED to be good at times like these are sinking instead of rising... the only answer is the mkt..... just not 100% in the same issues as in the past. MSFT,INTC and others are doing great (thankfully) but even utilities are not doing as in the past when there was mkt grumbling. The only thing at this time is the certain few--- and they are sure at a high area to be buying at.... then the question of where to put the cash if sold is raised..... the only certain thing is not to hold underperforming issues as they will be battered and abused for not living up to expectations well beyond the point they should be as COMS is now.
