Re: "However, that may be asking too much of Fuchi."

He should ask his nurse for assistance.

I see that Fuchi did buy a PII, or at least claims he did, so that he could complain about how slow it is. Now me, I am perfectly happy with the computers that I have as I don't run any FPU intensive work or MMX stuff. For my work, the M2 is more than adequate and certainly cheap, so I have about a half dozen of them as well as some 6x86s. But heck I still have an operational 80286 and probably a dozen 386Sx's in use and who knows how many 80486's and 5x86s. In my experience all of the CPU's have worked fine. The only CPU failure I can recall is the loss of the internal cache on a Cyrix 5x86 when the electrician decided to rewire the main electrical service with the power on, though I did elect to stop using an early 6x86 that ran "a bit warm". <G>.

Anyway, to me CPU's are now a commodity and one brand is as good as the next, and today all current CPU's are adequate for my needs, so I buy whatever is the cheapest. I doubt that I'll ever pay over $100 for a cpu again. Note that for me this is a marked deviation from the past when buying a higher end CPU produced a noticeable benefit and I frequently bought high end stuff (like a 10mhz 80286 when most others were buying 8088s).

How are things?
