My question, was this all preplanned when Softquad and Alpha had reverse takeover??? What will Softquad Inc be worth if Sun-off instead of sold? It probably would need to be acquired to survive but at least MAYBE the shareholders who have held would get a form of dividend finally after holding and watching the value of their shares dwindle or go no where.

>>my guess is that they will probably let it go cheap

don't think so....and perhaps they will not sell at all...yet...SoftQuad Inc. could command a significant acquisition price from either NTT/Verio, IBM/Apache, MSFT/preemptive [monopoly] strike, SUNW/NSCP/ORCL/, esp if one of these companies made the firstmove and pursuant to no 'standstill' agreements...allowing SWEBF to 'shop' the deal....it appears SWEBF/Rabins are waiting for the Lernout arbitration decision....if favorable NASDAQ NMS should not be an issue plus SWEBF may receive $5? million to $12? million in cash....which may be enough for SWEBF to wait until HMAPPS gains critical mass incl. a Windows NT/98 version is released [Q3], Panorama CD Web Publisher ships and XMetaL is not vaporware... in which case SoftQuad Inc.would command a significant amount of money...in our opinion....
