Hey pat I have a super safe ADSL play.... The way I understand the marketing plan from the telecos they want to be ASDL wholesaler. They are are going to get $$$ from every ADSL subscribed.... can you believe in this brave new world the telecos will be data transmission companies... SO The teleco will be BIG benefactors from 2 sources.... 1) the obvious ADSL lines 2) the extra capacity the fiber guys have been coming up with DWM.. Increasing the capacity of fiber infrasture without spending the real $$$ I listened to Bell Atlantic CC when they annoucced their next generation network..geee wiz listen to this ..they said the expect to plow 3 billion a YEAR in new revenues from a 500mil$ investment...Good Golly.. Check this out..The good guys at lynch did something really smart in 1982..They started a closed end fund that mimc MA BELL.It is called the AT&T fund. Each share has a percentage of it all BEL,SBC, BLS AIT,LU,NCR,ATI and of course the dog AT&T. since this is a market weighted investment the price is a deriviative of the RBOCs more than of the dog AT&T quote.yahoo.com
