not so fast jetson ....What they did was to buy a bunch of the old AT&T shares and keep them in original share form..This is what you would buy if it was old MA BELL. But old MA BELL has been very very good. Out performed the market EVERY YEAR since the decree in 82... Man things are just getting started for old MA BELL... Look at the Telecom industry right now. Everyone know the data trans biz is going to explode.. Thanks to ADSL.. Think about it..In the very near future data will be pour out the end of the network to every end point at the rate of 8mbs..........
