CompUSA Celeron give away.
A flyer in todays paper has CompUSA selling barebones Celeron PC's for $98.00 as part of their WIN98 promo. These boxes include Celeron 266, 32MB Ram, 2.1 GB hard drive and 24X CDROM. They also include Win98 which is sold seperately for $89.00 There are 10 units available per store. I assume this is a nationwide promo, so we're looking at quite a few Celerons at this price. (I think they have over 150 stores).
I also assume that Intel is somehow involved in this offering. Is this an indicator of low Celeron acceptance?
