Retains Physicians World Communications Group to Implement Integrated Physician Education and Communication Programs CRANFORD, N.J., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- HumaScan Inc. (Nasdaq: HMSC - news), the manufacturer and marketer of the BreastAlert(TM) Differential Temperature Sensor (''DTS''), an adjunctive medical device, today announced that it has retained Physicians World Communications Group (''PW''), based in Secaucus, N.J., to implement an integrated education and communications program to accelerate the acceptance of BreastAlert DTS among physicians. PW is recognized as a leader in developing medical education and strategic communications programs to support the launch of new pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Elizabeth E. Tallett, acting President and Chief Executive Officer commented, ''After reviewing HumaScan's marketing practices, the Company determined that a comprehensive physician education program on BreastAlert is required and I am pleased that PW is assisting us in this task. Going forward we believe that by building an informed constituency among medical opinion leaders we will accelerate the overall acceptance of BreastAlert DTS and increase its penetration. As we have said before, there is strong interest in BreastAlert DTS, and although our new strategy will take time to implement, we believe it will translate into significant sales.'' The Company also announced that a professional detailing force with a contract sales organization will be utilized to detail the product to physicians.
