I find your definition of a club interesting. And no doubt true.

But there might be one exception. I also recieve mail from "stockpicker".
He's been offering his service for free at the moment but he shorts stock 95% of the time.

I guess he's been around about three months now. In his first 6-7 weeks he increased portfolio 119%. Not bad.

The only problem was with one pick KTEL. It was at 25 bucks and he said to short it. The dam thing went straight to 67 bucks before it came down. Other than that he's done alright.

At the moment, because of market conditions he's having trouble finding stocks to short.

To be honest I haven't bought any of his recomended picks because I don't short stocks.

But I'm wondering if you feel as I do that it would be far more difficult to pull a scam investing this way?
