Cool, even with the slow frame rate. Nice to see a DVD spot on Bloomberg.

CS Wireless to Launch Digital MMDS in Dallas
GI debugs DWT-1000 set-top, clearing way for 80-channel service

By Jim Barthold
H aving worked out the final technology bugs with vendor General Instrument Corp., CS Wireless Communications Inc. last week launched full commercial digital MMDS wireless video and audio services in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

CS, which previously said it would purchase 200,000 DWT-1000 wireless digital set-tops from GI, had been testing the service for about a year while working out the kinks, said Frank Hosea, senior VP/COO.

"We were using out-of-band carrier and that created a problem because of potential interference from PCS," Hosea explained. "That delayed our launch in Dallas, since GI was not able to correct the in-band problem until about three weeks ago."
