I disagree. There are plenty of great short ideas out there, and shorting is an excellent way to hedge a portfolio of long positions...particulalry in this nosebleed market.

I think that many short sellers (including myself) were lured to the legitimate internet high-flyers such as YHOO, AMZN and ATHM and took severe beatings. The lesson here is not to short only based on valuation in this market - particularly the ultra-hot sectors. However, shorting the scam stocks like ZITL and CCSI has been enormously profitable.
